Processing usually takes 1-2 weeks for each application. To facilitate the process, please let your references know that a BCGSR representative will be contacting them via email addresses that you provide. Many Veterinarians require pre-authorization for us to speak with them, so please contact your Vet and have them make note to release general information to us. During the reference check process, you may not hear from your application processor unless they have questions or need additional information. Once the references and Vet are checked we will contact you about scheduling a home check which is the last step in our approval process.
Please note that if the volunteer is not satisfied with your home check then you will not be approved.
If at any time during the process we find the answers given by you or your references do not meet our criteria and requirements you will not hear anything further from us.
Please be patient with us as the current Covid 19 situation has made it more difficult to process the applications as quickly as we usually can. Thank you!
